InnerSport is me, Dan Sankar, a Canadian writer, who writes about football and sports and life. I have played some good soccer in my lifetime, beginning with youth soccer in Oakville, Ontario. I played NCAA Division 1 soccer and made the All-America team. I was actually drafted by a pro team, the North York Rockets of the Canadian Soccer League (CSL), but spent most of my years in top amateur competitions in Ontario and British Columbia. Now, I play masters soccer with Over 30’s.
As a thinker, I possess three things: 1. Information from Europe’s top leagues. 2. Knowledge of football’s mission, objectives and goals. 3. Understanding of psychological and philosophical realities that pervade our sport and our planet.
As a writer, I offer one thing: An honest effort to use my possessions to create a solid soccer narrative for students of the game.
